The Tortured Pepper

This was the drawing I have had the most enjoyment creating so far in art class. This is done start to finish with charcoal pencils....even the white is charcoal. We were asked to pick a fruit (okies I am stretching that to include a jalepeno pepper...giggles) and told to have some sort of background with fabric. I chose a black woven cloth......cascading down from the sky.........evoking our fall through this world. I thought it would be interesting to have some hint of the human form in the pepper.....I have tried to subtly
draw the lines to evoke a pair of legs......floating above the folds below..........and then impale them with a sword. The "torture" is desirable and not fatal......... disturbing..................
